Change

Change is a very constant thing in my life - you learn to just trust God and hold on for your life!

This is our new bit of change

we are excited, scared, nervous & thrilled all at once.

We are due end of march / early april and know we have been beyond blessed to have our fourth little baby to love and cherish.
We had an indication yesterday this one COULD be a pink one but im still a bit too early to tell for sure, but im still saying blue.
I will be totally fine with either one.
We'll know for sure in a few weeks ... :-)

Ok - Im asking for some help ...

Ok friends -

As most of you know I am now a mummy to TWO boys with type 1 diabetes. This is the time to RISE up and become their BIGGEST advocate!

On October 23rd 2011 ... We will be taking part in the annual JDRF walk to cure diabetes. A cause that is SO dear to my heart.

I am raising funds and equally important, awareness of type 1 diabetes.

Are you able to donate to our 'Team Bateman" ?? However big or small, know your donations are SO appreciated! Please click here If you are unable to donate at this time feel free to share my blog post & my page link.

I am just a mummy - a mummy who will do anything to give these boys a chance of a life without this disease.

The day I hoped would NEVER come ...

Well ... it happened. I type that like I expected it to happen. The truth is, I didn't.

On June 28 2011, my 3yr old son Jett was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I'm not even sure what to say after that. Oh wait, just one

IT DOESN'T GET EASIER SECOND TIME AROUND!

Yup, people have told me its probably easier second time round and I just wanna scream - " YOU THINK INJECTING BOTH MY KIDS IS EASIER?"

My heart was ripped out and stomped on the same way it was back on the 6Th November 2008 - when my eldest son was diagnosed.
I still felt like the world was playing a cruel joke on me.
I still asked the nurses and doctors if they were SURE he really had it.
I still felt ( feel ) sad.
I still cried.

I know the journey is long, but I know I'll overcome it. I know that while diabetes has come knocking at my door again, Ill sand Strong in the face of it.

So continue to pray for us - continue to love us - and continue to support us. God knows I'm going to need it!!

We are just coming out of a five day long weekend. I'm feeling so relaxed and refreshed - it's amazing what some good quality time with your family can do.

My days have been hazy and full lately. Exhausting and overwhelming. I'm the kinda girl who needs to be pulled out of routine from time to time and just recharge. This weekend Ive been able to manage just that - so much so I don't want to end. We have lots of big changes coming up and well to be honest, the next few weeks is kinda scary to see what they will bring.

But whatever will be will be ...

What was your favourite thing you did over the Easter break?
